OBH is looking for a superstar secondee to join the team – normally based in London, but working remotely at the moment!
As part of the UKRI Innovation Scholars – Biomedical Science secondment call, we’re looking for an exceptional individual, wishing to spend up to 36 months (full time, or significant part time) on secondment here with us at OBH. The funding for this would come from a successful application to the UKRI Innovation Scholars programme. Your current host organisation could be one of a wide variety of organisations, including but not limited to: NHS England, one of the ‘Think Tanks’, NHS Trusts/Commissioning Support Units, Academia, National Audit bodies, Industry, Life Sciences, etc.
We would particularly like to hear from data scientists, data engineers, analysts, researchers (or similar!) and clinicians, and each of these could contribute to our projects in different ways. So if you are one of these and would like to work with a small, high-performing team to make a positive impact on health care – we’d love to hear from you!
With the deadline for applications on 1st July, if you’re interested we’d love to hear from you ASAP! The application will need to be led by the ‘seconding organisation’, who claim the grant funding to cover your existing pay for the time spent with us, but we will help with the necessary content for your application. The UKRI grant funding available is up to £300k over 3 years, and up to 100% coverage for your current salary, travel and expenses may be available, depending on the nature of your current organisation.
Please send us your current CV, and secondment period you would be able to spend with us to: firstname.lastname@example.org. For all parties to really benefit, and given the time taken to apply for the funding, we’ll need to prioritise secondees who can potentially commit to working with us for longer.
