Director of Digital Primary Care, NHSX
Salary: Circa £100,000
Location: London / Leeds with travel required between both locations
NHSX is leading the largest digital health and social care transformation programme in the world. We are looking for an experienced Digital leader to lead the transformation of the digital primary care programme.
You will be working with the Chief Clinical Information Officer and their team to help deliver the missions of NHSX, and the long-term plan commitments to help digitise the NHS. You will lead a large scale digital transformation programme and help the clinical team in scoping, designing and delivering new programs as required by the wider system. Leading on task-and-finish work requiring a primary care perspective and clinical leadership, including areas which fall under NHS England’s primary care remit.
You will promote the General Practice Long Term Plan, leading relationships, stakeholder engagement and speaking to large groups of primary care professionals.
Deputising for the Chief Clinical Information Officer across a broad technology/digital portfolio, with scope for developing specific areas of interest or expertise.
You will be part of the Primary care senior management team representing the digital agenda and working closely with the Medical Director of Primary Care to represent them across the broad technology/digital portfolio.
You will need experience of working in general practice with a detailed knowledge of primary care together with significant experience of senior clinical leadership in a politically sensitive and complex environment and demonstrable experience of delivering complex change and strategy development programmes.
We’re looking for a personable and confident professional who will strive for continuous improvement and innovation. Educated to Masters level qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent compensating experience at a senior level in a relevant business environment, you value diversity and difference and operate with integrity and openness.
